Blue Cedar (2024)
The Blue Cedar Project draws inspiration from a tree that has stood in the family garden for generations, quietly witnessing the passage of time. This tree is more than just a natural presence, it has become a silent keeper of memories, reflecting the resilience and continuity of family heritage.
Through hand-printed photographs, created with pigments derived from the tree’s fallen branches, the project explores the deep connection between memory, nature, and time. Each print captures both the physical form of the tree and the emotional significance it holds, with the unique process ensuring that no two prints are exactly the same.
This work seeks to evoke personal reflection on the stories trees could tell, connecting viewers to their own sense of history and the enduring bond between family and the natural world.
