Sights of Unary (2023)
is a photographic book investigates the meaning and function of family photos as a tool to preserve memories and hand down identity and experiences down to future generations. In the book over 400 photos are compiled, all part of a very extensive family photographic archive, collected and kept by my late grandmother. The archive depicts the lives of my Swiss family and contains 2000+ images, some dating back to the very beginning of commercial photography in the late 1800’s.
